Today I added a new set of activities to practice telling time.
1) Hear time and write it
In the first activity, you will hear a speaker tell the time in Spanish. Listen carefully. The speaker will say the time and include de la mañana, de la tarde or de la noche. Click on the button that says Menú to open a dialog box with a list of possible times. The times will be in military format. You must click on the time that matches the speaker. If you are correct, you will automatically move to the next time. If you are incorrect, the speaker will repeat the time. Click on the Menú button to open the menu and try again. There are 10 questions.
For example, you hear "Son las ocho y diez de la noche." You select 20:10.
2) See time and write it
In the second activity, you will see the digital clock above the green button change to a new time. The time will be in military format. You must write this new time in the local chat window. The clock will be listening on a special channel so preceed your answer with /1. Be sure to include the de la mañana, de la tarde or de la noche accordingly. If you are correct, you will automatically move to the next time. If you are incorrect, you will be told and given another opportunity to write the correct time. There are 10 questions.
For example, you see "19:51." You write /1Son las ocho menos nueve de la noche.
Be sure to preceed your answer with /1 and end your sentence with a period.
When you successfully complete each of the activities, you will be prompted to email your instructor. If you choose, to notify your instructor that you´ve completed the activity, just follow the prompts. You will be asked to submit your instructor´s email address.
